Talks Held with Shizuoka International Exchange Chairman Hirokazu Kato
Shizuoka, Japan – Prominent Nepali community figure Naresh Maharjan recently held a meaningful meeting with Hirokazu Kato, Chairman of the Shizuoka City International Exchange Association, one of Japan’s important figures in international cultural relations.
During the meeting, Maharjan expressed his appreciation for Kato’s continued support and long-standing cooperation. The two leaders reunited after some time and shared warm discussions on strengthening ties between Nepal and Japan.
This year marks the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Nepal and Japan, a historic milestone that reflects decades of friendship, cooperation, and mutual respect between the two nations.
In light of this significant occasion, Maharjan consulted with Chairman Kato on the possibility of organizing commemorative events to celebrate the anniversary. The discussions focused on cultural exchange programs, community engagement, and initiatives that could further deepen the relationship between the Nepali and Japanese people.
Chairman Kato, known for his active role in promoting international exchange in Shizuoka, welcomed the idea and showed positive interest in collaborative efforts to mark the special year.
