U.S.–Nepal Tech Innovation Hackathon Concludes Successfully in Pokhara and Biratnagar
Kathmandu. The U.S.–Nepal Tech Innovation Hackathon has successfully concluded in Pokhara and Biratnagar, bringing together young innovators to develop practical, technology-driven solutions to everyday challenges.
The 32-hour intensive hackathon was organized as an initiative of the United States Embassy in Nepal, in collaboration with Aadyanta Advisory. The program engaged over 50 participants working in 10 teams, who received expert feedback, shared insights, and benefited from mentorship from industry professionals.
Over the two-day event, participants moved beyond concepts to build, test, and refine real-world prototypes. The hands-on approach enabled young innovators to gain practical skills while learning through collaboration and peer-to-peer exchange.
With expert American mentorship and the use of American technologies, the hackathon aims to strengthen Nepal’s innovation ecosystem while also creating opportunities for market expansion for U.S. technology companies.
Organizers stated that the initiative will continue under the Code for Impact program, with future hackathons planned across different cities in Nepal to further promote youth innovation and technology-driven entrepreneurship.
The program has been widely viewed as a significant step toward empowering Nepal’s young tech talent and fostering stronger U.S.–Nepal collaboration in the technology and innovation sector.
