Washington, D.C., North America — Khagendra Adhikari, a Nepali community voice based in Washington, D.C., has issued a public appeal urging citizens to use the upcoming general election as an opportunity to secure a fresh national mandate in response to the country’s evolving political landscape.
Referring to the situation that emerged following the Gen-Z uprising, Adhikari emphasized the need for governance to be renewed through the direct will of the people. He stated that the nationwide general election scheduled for Thursday, Falgun 21, 2082, should serve as a democratic platform to establish a system led by representatives elected and directed by the people—leaders capable of ensuring transparency, accountability, and good governance.
Acknowledging the intense competition among candidates, Adhikari respectfully called on all stakeholders to remain thoughtful, sensitive, and responsible throughout the electoral process.
